v 5.0 in progress...
NgPost started back in 2000 as a command line poster written in C++/Qt.
Its primary idea was to be fast, so it was written in C++ rather than interpreted languages.
Then, I made the assumption that encoding the articles could be time-consuming.
Using a pool of NNTP connections, the aim was thus to always have prepared articles ready for them,
so they could post them straight away to Usenet (without no interuption, no computation).
NgPost is multi-thread and completely non blocking. (i.e: asynchronous with Qt event loop)
NgPost is fully opensource, available here on github.
This website will still stay minimalist but updated soon!
with some propositions for the future of ngPost (or its stagnation...)
I'm going to start a crowdfunding campaign cause I made some serious work on the v5.0
but only focussing on the core of the app and new feaures and also some archi docs.
meaning for now it will be only a command line version.
I think it would take me at least a month to migrate the GUI on the v5.
another idea if I get funded could be to do a brand new one more modern
with several views, windows, config edition...
